Anchovy Primary School Community Project

Anchovy Primary School Community Project

Anchovy Primary, located in St. James, was selected for our community outreach initiative following a comprehensive needs assessment conducted by employees from NROCC through engagement with residents and stakeholders within the Anchovy community.

Given Anchovy Primary’s close proximity to our ongoing work on the Montego Bay Perimeter Road and Long Hill Bypass Project, combined with valuable feedback gathered through our needs assessment activities, the school stood out as an ideal candidate for meaningful intervention. The opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the students and wider community made it a natural choice for our support. This initiative reinforces our ongoing commitment to uplifting and investing in the communities where we operate.

Anchovy Primary faced several pressing issues, including peeling paint, aging playground equipment, the urgent need to upgrade its bathroom facilities to ensure a more welcoming environment for students and teachers alike. Our initiative aligns with our Social Responsibility (SR) commitment to improving early childhood education and uplifting underserved communities through sustainable and impactful interventions.
